Meet the Team

Chris Andersen

Executive Director

Chris Andersen is our executive director at Travanse Living at Grayslake. Chris has over 20 years of experience in the senior living care industry. He began his career as an activity director and moved up the ladder to assistant administrator and then administrator. Since 2010, Chris has held the position of executive director and continues to fill this role at Grayslake.

Chris has his Resident Care for the Elderly initial certification and is certified in CPR. His drive to use his experience, education and team-building skills will provide residents with high-quality care.

Lauren Schlicht

Director of Sales and Marketing

Lauren Schlicht joined the Travanse Living at Grayslake team in July 2018. In her role as director of Sales and Marketing, Lauren’s main focus will be developing positive and lasting relationships between the senior living community and the businesses and organizations in and around Grayslake.

An Illinois native, Lauren has a passion for working with seniors, and joins the Grayslake team with more than six years of health care experience in both marketing and patient care roles. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in both biology and psychology. An active member of the community, Lauren is also a team captain and volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association.

In her free time, you can find Lauren boating, reading or relaxing with family and friends at the lake.

Lauren Sukumar

Resident Care Director

Lauren Sukumar is an LPN with over two years of assisted living and memory care experience. Obtaining her associate degree in biology and LPN certification in Phoenix, Lauren has lived in Illinois for two years and is happy to call it home. Prior to joining the team, Lauren worked for North Shore University Health System as a care coordinator and worked in a memory care facility for a year prior to focusing on Alzheimer's care.

Lauren actively participates with the Alzheimer's Association and enjoys participation in the Walk To End Alzheimer's held every October. Beyond caring for her residents, Lauren enjoys spending time with her two children and volunteering at their school functions. Lauren is excited to be part of the Travanse Living at Grayslake team. She strives to make a positive and significant impact in the lives of residents and their families.

Stacy Weber

Generations Program Director

Stacy Weber is our Generations program director. Stacy has over nine years of experience with social services and over two in senior communities. After graduating from Aurora University in 2009, Stacy worked with a crisis center, served in the Peace Corps, and worked in memory and long-term care communities. She also opened and ran her own assisted living center in Wisconsin. During her career, she discovered that helping others was her niche.

That niche is reflected in her role as a Generations program director. Outside of work, Stacy likes to do yoga, go hiking, paint, travel, and spend time with her husband, Eric, and step-daughter, Aislyn.

John Costa

Building Services Director

Meet John Costa, building services director for Travanse Living at Grayslake. John brings years of experience to our team – experience that will ensure our community is well taken care of on a daily basis.

John has overseen maintenance in a variety of settings, including long-term care communities. Prior to taking the helm at Travanse Living, he served as maintenance director at Alden Terrace Nursing Home in McHenry. He also served as a facility technician at a variety of Target locations. While serving in the U.S. Air Force, John worked as a vehicle technician and facility maintenance manager.

Ryan Burchall

Culinary Services Director

Chef Ryan Burchall joined Travanse Living at Grayslake in July 2017. As Culinary Service director, he’s responsible for the quality and presentation of each dish served. Ryan studied culinary arts at Illinois Institute of Art–Chicago. He remained in Chicago after school, where he learned of a wide variety of cooking techniques and menu items that he brought to our community. In his free time, Ryan likes to search out the best tavern-style pizzas in the area, experiment with new foods and enjoy the great outdoors!
